A LITTLE MORE CLARITY
PolicyTrack FAQs: Insurance Wallet Questions Answered
Answers about PolicyTrack pricing, documents, AI reading, household access, renewal reminders and exporting your insurance records.
Can I track bills and mortgages as well as insurance?
Yes. Add mortgages, gas, electricity, water, broadband, phone contracts, subscriptions, rent and council tax. Record payments, account references and review dates, then attach your documents. Payments are entered manually; PolicyTrack does not connect to your bank or provider.
Is PolicyTrack really free?
Yes. The current free plan includes unlimited policies, bills and linked items, document storage and renewal reminders. Optional AI reading is available when enabled and requires your review. No credit card is required and there is no obligation to change your providers. Pricing and available plans may change in future. File-size and fair-use limits help keep the service available.
Do I need to change my insurer?
No. Keep the insurance and providers you already use. PolicyTrack gives all those policies one organised home.
What documents can I upload?
Policy schedules, certificates, renewal notices and policy wording in PDF, JPG or PNG format. Add up to eight files for the same policy at once, up to 20 MB each and 40 MB per batch. For HEIC photos, export a JPG or PDF first.
Can AI get something wrong?
Yes. Every extracted field can be checked and corrected before you save it. We highlight uncertain details and link to the source where available. Your insurer’s original policy wording remains authoritative.
Can one policy cover several cars or people?
Absolutely. A policy can cover multiple vehicles, properties or people. You can also track a policy such as travel insurance without linking it to a physical item.
Who can see my documents?
Members of your household can access its documents. Downloads require a signed link and an authorised session. If you choose AI reading, the configured AI provider processes that batch to extract its details.
Do you use my documents to train AI?
PolicyTrack does not use your documents for model training. The configured OpenAI API does not train on API inputs by default, and our requests disable response storage. Provider security retention can still apply; see our privacy notice.
Can I leave and take my data?
Yes. Export your account and household records with your documents as a ZIP. You can permanently delete individual records, a household you own, or your account in Settings. Shared households remain for other members when you leave.
